Terms of use
Short, readable, and written to be understood rather than to survive a deposition.
1. Who we are and what this is
Cluckology ("we", "us") publishes the website at trafficstacklynx.net: a free, advertising-supported publication about the domestic chicken, plus original game design features. There is no account to create, no subscription to buy, and nothing on the site is for sale.
2. Permitted use
You are welcome to:
- Read, print and share any page for personal or educational purposes.
- Quote up to roughly 100 words in an article, post or presentation, with clear attribution and a link back to the page you took it from.
- Link to any page on the site without asking us first.
Please do not:
- Republish substantial parts of an article, translated or otherwise, without written permission.
- Scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for other readers, or use it to build a competing content product.
- Reuse our illustrations or game artwork anywhere, in any form. These are the assets we pay for and they are not licensed for redistribution.
- Frame the site inside another page in a way that misrepresents its origin, or strip out advertising and republish the result.
Permission requests go to hello@trafficstacklynx.net. We usually say yes to schools, museums and non-commercial projects.
3. The Chicken Road game concepts — important
We want this to be unambiguous, because it is the thing people most often misunderstand about the site.
- Chicken Road and Chicken Road 2 are original arcade game concepts, written, designed and illustrated by Cluckology and published here as editorial design features.
- They are not available for download or purchase. There is no app, no store listing, no installer and no beta programme. If you find something claiming to be an official Chicken Road download, it is not from us.
- They contain no gambling, wagering, betting, real-money staking, loot boxes or in-app purchases of any kind, and no simulated gambling mechanic. The "corn" described in the feature is a fictional cosmetic currency inside a fictional game.
- Any statistics, records or scores mentioned in those sections are illustrative parts of the design write-up, not claims about a live product.
- The names, characters, artwork and design documents are our intellectual property. We claim no association with any similarly named product published by anyone else.
4. Advertising
The site is funded by display advertising, including Google advertising products. Advertising slots are visually distinct from editorial content and labelled as advertising. We do not publish paid content dressed up as an article, and advertisers have no influence over what we write.
We are not responsible for the content of third-party adverts or for the sites they lead to. If you see an advert on this site that is misleading, offensive or broken, please report it to advertising@trafficstacklynx.net with a screenshot and we will pass it to the network.
5. Accuracy, and what this site is not
We work hard to be accurate and we cite our sources on the about page. Even so, the content is published for general information only.
Nothing here is veterinary, medical, nutritional, legal or financial advice. We are not veterinarians. If a bird in your care is unwell, consult a poultry veterinarian in your jurisdiction. If you are making decisions about keeping livestock, check your local regulations rather than relying on us.
Found a mistake? Tell us at corrections@trafficstacklynx.net. We correct errors with a dated note on the page rather than editing silently.
6. External links
We link out to research, breed standards and opt-out tools because they are useful. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything the destination publishes.
7. Availability
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it — including any article or feature — without notice.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site, and for any loss arising from reliance on information published here.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, and the cookies we use are itemised in our cookie policy. Both form part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cluckology is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.
